Kudran Name Builder
Kudran naming conventions: Kudrans form strictly matriarchal and cisnormative societies. When a baby is born, its mother’s given name becomes the baby’s family name. For instance, a kudran named Xulituzhet is a person whose given name is Uzhet but their mother’s name is Xulit. For the first step of this, you will need to establish which figure will represent your “guidance figure” in your name. Most often, this is your mother. But maybe you don’t have a mother! Or maybe you hate your mother! Or maybe you have two mothers! We don’t have to be limited by reductive kudran naming norms, here.
1. Mother/guidance figure: Please choose a figure (preferably female, but not required) to serve as your guidance figure. This should be a person you admire a lot and have learned much from - usually your mother, but up to you to decide. Put that person's first name below. (Don't worry, none of this information will be saved or stored on the site.)
2. Family name: It’s rare that a kudran’s family name has more than two syllables, and almost never more than three. Truncate your mother/guidance figure’s name to the first two syllables, if needed. (You can also use a shorter nickname for them.)
3. Given name: Enter the first two syllables of your own given name (first name). You can also use a nickname for yourself.
4. Putting it together: In kudran society, the family name comes first, followed by the given name. Put your family name and given name together - family name first, given name afterwards.
5. Converting to kudran alphabet: the kudran alphabet is different from the English alphabet. They are missing some letters and have added others. They use Spanish-style vowel sounds as well. Using the two tables below, change the letters of your name to fit the kudran script. This is your full kudran name!

6. Familiar name: Among friends, you would likely be known just by your given name. Write your given name below, using the new kudran alphabetic spelling.
Congratulations - you've built your kudran name!
